Making a difference in the Central Hawkes Bay
Volunteer with usWe are excited to offer SPCA services in Central Hawke's Bay in conjunction with Veterinary Services Hawke's Bay.
SPCA’s full range of services is available to animals in Central Hawke's Bay through a partnership with Vet Services Waipukurau, which started in mid-2022.
Animals will be transported to the nearby SPCA Hastings Centre when required, and there is a full-time Field Officer dedicated to helping within this community. This Field Officer enhances SPCA’s ability to attend emergencies, assist with community desexing and assist the Inspectorate team with welfare concerns.

If you have an animal welfare complaint, please call our team on 06 878 8733. Our team will be on call between 10am - 2:30pm, Mon-Sat. If you have an animal emergency outside of these hours, please contact your nearest after-hours vet clinic. For any problems with stray, found or lost dogs, please contact the local council. Please contact the local police for any instances where an animal or person/s welfare is at immediate risk.
