Ellie was brought to SPCA with two other rabbits by a concerned neighbour. They were living in less than ideal conditions, were skinny, stained yellow from their urine, and sick.

Ellie was also pregnant, giving birth to a healthy litter of kits soon after she arrived at SPCA. Ellie did a wonderful job as a mother until her kits were old enough, but she still wasn’t putting on any weight or getting any better. She needed to go and live with a foster mum for a few months, and thankfully, with time, love and care, her personality finally started to shine. Ellie was looking so

much happier and heathier, and was eventually adopted by her loving new mum to bond with ex-SPCA bunny Franklyn. “They are thriving at home, living in my lounge, and are perfectly bonded,” says Ellie’s new mum. “Ellie has put on more condition and is fit and well, getting more and more sociable, and relaxed around people,” she says.
