TVNZ 1’s SPCA Rescue starts tonight!

The race to find the mum of an abandoned litter of puppies. Emaciated pigs with no water or shelter. A stray cat caught with a fish hook in its mouth. These are just a handful of the stories captured in a very special new TV show.

SPCA Rescue is coming to TVNZ 1 this evening. With a total of ten action-packed episodes, the show will air at 7:30pm on Tuesdays from this evening until 18 April.

Meet SPCA’s Inspectors, Field Officers, Veterinarians and Animal Attendants as they work tirelessly to give abandoned, abused and neglected animals the second chance they deserve. Follow along on the sometimes heartbreaking – but always inspiring – journeys they take in our care, and get a sense of what life at SPCA looks like for both the animals and people behind our doors.

Here at SPCA, more animal stories unfold in our Centres than we could ever tell. But we are thrilled that the public will be able to get an intimate look at just some of those stories through this fantastic show.
