Introducing our SPCA Pets of the Year!

24 August 2022

SPCA’s revamped calendar competition Pets of the Year, has now wrapped up, and we have our winners!

Introducing our SPCA Pets of the Year!

SPCA Pets of the Year, the new and improved calendar competition, has just wrapped up, and we have our cover stars!

Putting the power of voting for winners in the hands of the people, SPCA was glad not to have the challenge of selecting winning images this year, with so many exceptional entries.

The new peer-to-peer fundraising approach this year saw a flurry of competitive voting take place on the final day of the competition, with friends and family getting behind the pets they know and love.

SPCA was blown away by the support. Over $60,000 was raised and every bit of those funds will go towards helping the sick, injured and abused animals of Aotearoa.

Now that the competition has ended, we can announce the pets who have earned the top spots and claimed the cover of the 2023 SPCA calendars!

Cat calendar cover winner: Deli

Dog calendar cover winner: Mikey

Other Animals calendar cover winner: Millie, Lucy, & Milo

Congratulations to our winners, and to everyone who earned a spot in the 2023 calendars! As well as title of Pet of the Year and being featured on the calendar cover, our winners also receive a free calendar, plus a year’s supply of Purina One Pet Food!
