The results of SPCA’s first lottery have been announced!
SPCA has now announced the winners of its sold-out lottery, launched in April this year.
With only 10,000 tickets available, tickets sold out quickly.
"Our supporters knew it was for a great cause, and we think they also appreciated the relatively good odds of winning, compared to other lotteries," says SPCA CEO Todd Westwood.
“It was wonderful for our team to be able to call our three winners and deliver the good news. Apparently one of our winners assumed the call was a scam at first and hung up – but was very pleased when we emailed and called back and were able to assure them they’d really won!”
- Our 1st prize winner, taking home the 2026 Subaru NZ Forester Hybrid Sport: Ticket number number 10094 from Hillpark, Auckland
- Our 2nd prize winner, who has won a Wendy Wu tour for two of Asia: Ticket number 15603 from Frimley, Hastings
- Our 3rd prize winner, winning the $5,000 Harvey Norman e-gift card: Ticket number 13852 from Hobsonville: Auckland
“Congratulations to all our winners, and we want to thank everyone who entered our lottery. Every ticket purchased directly helps an animal who needs us,” says SPCA CEO Todd Westwood.
“Whether it’s a frightened kitten, an injured dog, or a neglected farm animal, your support ensures they receive the care, treatment and compassion they deserve.”
“If you didn’t win, please know that the funds raised from your ticket sales are helping vulnerable animals both in our Centres and out in the community. It’s with your generosity that we’re able to help so many animals every year – we couldn’t do it without you.”
For those who missed out, SPCA has more lotteries coming up soon! To be the first in the know, you can sign up for lottery updates.
SPCA would like to thank partners, Subaru New Zealand, Wendy Wu and Harvey Norman for the generous prizes in the lottery.
