Jump to the Rescue is back for another year

10 October 2022

SPCA’s most exhilarating fundraising event calls on all animal lovers, daredevils and adventure-seekers to skydive for a good cause!

Jump to the Rescue is back for another year

The charity’s annual skydiving event is back for 2022, with 3 and 10 December named as the event weekends for the big jump.

Thrill-seeking individuals are encouraged to sign up to jump at any one of the nine participating Skydive partner locations, and share their fundraising profile with friends, families and colleagues to start fundraising before the big day.

The SPCA team is always eager to jump in, with Chair of SPCA’s Board, David Broderick, recently having jumped at Skydive Mount Cook.

“Seeing how brave all the animals are that come through SPCA’s doors, being brave myself to help them seemed like an easy task,” he says. “I was thrilled to jump to their rescue, and encourage other animal-lovers to do the same!”

People who get involved have two months to raise as much money as they can for the tens of thousands of animals who come through SPCA’s doors each year. Anyone who raises more than $800 jumps for free and can earn a few other awesome rewards along the way.

Skydiving sites include the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Tauranga, Taupō, Abel Tasman, Mount Cook, Franz Joseph & Fox Glacier, Queenstown and Wanaka.
