Making a difference in Whangarei

Volunteer with us

Under Alert Level 1, our centre can reopen, however entry will be by appointment only for those picking up an adopted animal or dropping off/picking up a foster animal. Please call our centre to make an appointment on the number below.

The SPCA inspectorate based in Whangarei covers an area from the Brynderwyns across to the Kaipara Harbour, up through Dargaville to just south of Kaikohe, to Waiomio south of Kawakawa, then back across to the east coast (to just north of Whangaruru North). Around 3,000 animals are brought to our centre annually, and each year we investigate around 900 animal abuse complaints.
