Meet your match at SPCA
SPCA turns the spotlight on more than 1,000 animals currently waiting for adoption, and encourages families to find a friend for life.
As pressure on SPCA Centres rise with the ever-growing number of unwanted, abused and neglected animals, SPCA has decided to launch a nationwide match-making campaign: Meet Your Match. Think of it as The Bachelor – but for pets, and with much better matches!
This campaign shifts the focus from simply rehoming animals to thoughtfully matching pets with their forever person based on lifestyle, personality, and individual needs.
From loyal companions to sassy princesses, gentle cuddle-bugs to confident explorers—SPCA animals come in all shapes and sizes, but it’s their hearts and quirks that set them apart. Our experienced teams take the time to get to know each animal, ensuring that adopters are paired with a friend for life, not just a pet.
“Our strength has always been matching the right companion with the right family,” says Corey Regnerus Kell, SPCA General Manager of Animal Services. “This campaign reflects what our staff and volunteers do best—finding meaningful, lasting connections that change lives, both human and animal.”
Interested adopters can view profiles online, and begin the journey to finding their perfect match.
The campaign is also backed by MoreFM and Petdirect, who are spreading the love with a special competition. Adopters are encouraged to share their heart-warming pet adoption stories for a chance to win a $500 product voucher from Petdirect, with another $500 donation going to SPCA on the winner’s behalf. Adopters can enter now by commenting on the MoreFM Facebook post.
In a time when animals need us most, Meet Your Match reminds us that behind every pair of paws is a big personality waiting to be loved.
