Why we want you

Our volunteer collectors are at the heart of our Fill the Bucket appeal. Working in pairs on two-hour shifts at collection sites across the country, they connect with their local communities and encourage people to donate to help animals in need.

What you'll be doing

  • Spend a two-hour shift at a local collection site, greeting the public and collecting cash and EFTPOS donations.
  • Represent SPCA with a friendly smile and help raise vital funds for animals in need.
  • No regular commitment is required – volunteer for one two-hour shift, or more if you would like to.
  • Please dress for the weather and bring water and anything else you need to be comfortable during your shift. We will provide the collection materials you need.
  • Many collection sites are dog friendly, so you may even be able to volunteer with your canine companion. Look for a dog-friendly location when choosing your shift.
