Home and Kids Volunteer
Nelson Centre
Not everyone can foster animals or volunteer at an SPCA Centre or Op Shop, but everyone can play a part in helping animals.
Whether you’re under 16, prefer to help from home, or want to involve the whole family, there are plenty of ways you can make a difference for animals in SPCA’s care - right from your own home!
We are always in need of volunteers to help cut up sheets and blankets, make enrichment toys, collect donations and help fundraise. We have lots of ways you can help which can be done at home or in the community and mean the whole family can get involved.
Check out our SPCA Kids Portal to learn more about animal welfare, including how to make enrichment toys and become a Rag Fairy
From hosting a bake sale, running a marathon, or collecting items for our Centres, there are many ways you can get involved and make a difference in your community. Fundraising is easy, and our SPCA Fundraising Hub has all the resources and information you need to get started.
Contact your local centre about other ways to volunteer from home.
