Op Shop volunteer - Invercargill Driver
Invercargill Centre
We're looking for reliable volunteer truck drivers in Invercargill to help with routine pick ups and drop offs of donations.
Duties will include:
- Running pick-ups/deliveries as needed across Invercargill to Riverton, as well as Gore and Bluff areas.
- Following the scheduled bookings for each area
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
- Help moving furniture in store
Hours
We’re looking for a number of volunteers to assist us with pick ups and deliveries on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Requirements
- Full clean driving license as a safe and courteous driver, and be able to drive a truck.
- Good customer service and spoken English skills.
- Reasonably physically fit as the work involves lifting (loading/unloading).
- Be able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.

A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops or 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
- Information collected as part of this application process may also be used for placement screening, administration, health, safety and wellbeing purposes, to communicate with you about your role, and to promote SPCA goods and services that may interest you. Information collected by SPCA will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the SPCA Privacy Statement.
