Op Shop Distribution Centre volunteer - East Tamaki
Auckland (Mangere) Centre
Our East Tamaki Distribution Centre in South Auckland raises vital funds for SPCA, and we rely heavily on volunteers to help operate the DC. Can you help?
Some of the tasks involved include:
- Receiving and sorting incoming donated goods
- Assisting with stocktakes and stock control on donations, stock and assets in the DC
- Assisting our Scheduling Manager to prepare outbound deliveries
- Assisting our Delivery Drivers with inbound and outbound deliveries
- Assisting maintaining our Stock Control database
- General housekeeping duties
You could also help in the following areas:
- Assisting our Delivery Drivers on the Trucks and Vans with deliveries
- Assisting in our Op Shop at the front of the Distribution Centre

Times and days available:
We are looking for people who can kindly commit to a certain amount of hours per month during weekdays. Both half days and full day shifts are available on:
- Mondays
- Tuesdays
- Wednesdays
- Thursdays
- Fridays

A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops or 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
- Information collected as part of this application process may also be used for placement screening, administration, health, safety and wellbeing purposes, to communicate with you about your role, and to promote SPCA goods and services that may interest you. Information collected by SPCA will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the SPCA Privacy Statement.
