Taumarunui Vet Partnership
Making a difference in Taumarunui
Volunteer with usSPCA in the Central King Country is based in Taumarunui but covers a wide area around the town.
Unlike most SPCAs, Taumarunui does not have a physical centre so all animals coming into care are placed in foster homes within the community until they can be rehomed. On average we receive in more than 300 animals every year. All calls during opening hours are directed to our Palmerston North Centre, and followed up by our local coordinator where needed.
Our Taumaranui Op Shop is run by committed volunteers and without the community’s support we would not be able to care for the number of animals we do. We are a small team and are always looking for more people to come on board and assist so please get in touch if you would like to help us make a difference.
