Palmerston North Centre
Making a difference in Palmerston NorthVolunteer with us
Our Palmerston North Centre is now closed to the public until further notice due to the Covid-19 nationwide lockdown.
SPCA's Palmerston North Centre has had a well needed make-over recently to enhance the facilities for the animals in our care. We have created an open cattery to provide a low-stress environment for our cats while they are here and have also upgraded our dog facilities. We now have large exercise runs where our dogs are free to run around and play during the day.
We welcome people to come in to visit us to socialise with our animals. This provides therapeutic benefits to both themselves and our centre animals!
We rehome hundreds of animals each year so encourage people to come to see us if they are choosing to welcome a new animal into their family.
We stock everything you need including food, toys, bowls and more at our centre pet store.
We have a full team of Veterinary Nurses to help with any questions you have about caring for your animals.
If you have found a sick or injured animal, contact us immediately on 06 357 2516.
If you have found a roaming or dangerous dog, please call the Palmerston North City Council on 06 356 8199.
If the animal is healthy and not in danger, please click here to see how you can help.
We list every incoming stray animal on www.lostpet.co.nz so please check the listings to see if we might have your missing pet.
If your animal is not listed, we have some tips on how to find your pet on our Advice & Welfare section.
