Making a difference in the Hawke's Bay

Volunteer with us

Established in 1956, SPCA's Napier Centre provides the local community with essential services.

Our mission is to educate the community and ensure every adoptable animal leaves our centre for a safe happy home.

As well as animal adoptions and inspectorate services, we also offer a microchipping service for the public, and have a volunteer run op shop in central Napier.

Due to limited space and resources, unfortunately the SPCA does not usually accept owned animals into our care.

As a charity, we do not have sufficient space and resources to provide a rehoming service for owned animals, and have to prioritise sick, stray or injured animals.

If you need to rehome your pet, please click here for advice.
