Making a difference in the Hawke's Bay
Volunteer with usUnder the new L2 alert level, we are closed to the general public, but adoptions are continuing to be processed by appointment. As always, you can browse animals available for adoption on our website (just hit the ‘adopt’ button above and apply to adopt them online, or give your local Centre a call to book an appointment. If levels change in the coming days, we will provide further updates.
Established in 1956, SPCA's Napier Centre provides the local community with essential services. Our mission is to educate the community and ensure every adoptable animal leaves our centre for a safe happy home.
Specific enquiries
Due to limited space and resources, unfortunately SPCA does not usually accept owned animals into our care.
As a charity, we do not have sufficient space and resources to provide a rehoming service for owned animals, and have to prioritise sick, stray or injured animals.
