Volunteer with usUnder the new L2 alert level, we are closed to the general public, but adoptions are continuing to be processed by appointment. As always, you can browse animals available for adoption on our website (just hit the ‘adopt’ button above and apply to adopt them online, or give your local Centre a call to book an appointment. If levels change in the coming days, we will provide further updates.
Established in 1956, SPCA's Napier Centre provides the local community with essential services. Our mission is to educate the community and ensure every adoptable animal leaves our centre for a safe happy home.

If you have an animal welfare complaint, please call our team on 06 835 7758. Our team will be on call 9am-9pm, Monday – Friday (excluding public holidays) and 10am - 2.30pm Saturday. If you have an animal emergency outside of these hours, please contact your nearest after-hours vet clinic. For any problems with stray, found or lost dogs, please contact the local council. Please contact the local police for any instances where an animal or person/s welfare is at immediate risk.
