Making a difference in Greymouth

Volunteer with us

Our lovely, spacious centre in Greymouth was opened in 2013 and was built with massive support from the community.

We offer a Canine Education programme for special needs children which is fully supported by the Cobden and Greymouth High Schools.

We also have a boarding cattery with eleven single and four double units. Find out more about our cattery

Thank you for looking to desex your pet.

Making desexing accessible to everyone is important to us. Scientific research has proven that a desexed animal lives a happier and healthier life. They are less likely to get into fights, can be more affectionate and friendly, and have a reduced risk of health issues such as cancer. We believe desexing and microchipping is one of the key ways to improve animal welfare.

We run Snip ‘n’ Chip campaigns for cats across the country at different times of the year. To check if vouchers are available in your area visit https://book.spcadesexing.nz/

For more information on desexing, please visit www.spcadesexing.nz or email snipnchip@spca.nz

Alternatively, please contact your local SPCA Centre for local assistance and advice.
