SPCA advocates for continuous improvement in the use of animals in animal behaviour research, testing, and teaching.
SPCA is concerned with the use of animals in behavioural experiments where they are exposed to environments that negatively impact their welfare. SPCA advocates for observation of animals in their normal environment, performing normal behaviour, and consequently obtaining more realistic and useable outcomes.
SPCA opposes the use of animals in research, testing, and teaching where harms from animal behavioural experiments are not minimised.
