Animals in the Wild

SPCA is concerned with the welfare of wild animals, both native and introduced.

SPCA advocates for the protection of wild animals from human actions that compromise their welfare.

SPCA opposes inflicting avoidable pain and distress upon wild animals.

Where the capture or killing of wild animals is permitted, this must only be performed using methods that minimise negative impacts on animal welfare.

Wild animals, in this context, refers to animals that are not domesticated.
