But you don't have to wait for our next email. Here are a few ways to get involved right now.
The day before we were set to meet Toffee, I remember thinking to myself, "If he comes close and lets me pet him, I'm taking him home." We bought everything we thought we'd need for adoption the night before after doing some thorough research, without really knowing whether we'd have a cat to take home.
I remember walking into his kennel, and he looked a little bit apprehensive at first. But as soon as I sat down on the chair next to his post he came down, smelled me, and next thing I know he was rubbing himself against me, marking me as his own. I knew straight away he was coming home.
Toffee is playful and energetic and he also is the sweetest boy. We are always looking forward to meeting him at the door when we come home, and cuddling with him when it is downtime. The best part is being able to take him with us on our adventures. Our little boy, or our son as we like to refer to him, is our pride and joy and he brings so much fun, love and laughter to our lives.
