My partner and I walked into SPCA planning to adopt just one cat, and walked out with two. From the moment I walked into their enclosure, Indy asked to be picked up and rubbed her little face all over mine; we fell in love. I can't count the number of times we have talked about how we can't believe someone else hadn't adopted them before us.
They've been part of our family for about three weeks now, and it's been fantastic to see them flourish. They are so comfortable with people, even managing to be brave within 5 minutes of landing in their new house.
You can't turn around in our house without finding one of them winding through your legs, asking to be picked up when you're brushing your teeth, sneaking cheese from the bench while we're cooking, or delivering small knitted toys to you at full volume at 4 am. They've already learnt who to stand on in the morning to get fed, which door they can jump to from the cat tower, and how to terrorise the robot vacuum.
We only wish we had gotten to meet them earlier to see them grow into the lovely ladies they are today.
