Low-cost cat desexing services at Massey University in Palmerston North, is available to cat owners who hold a Community Service Card, Gold Card, or Massey Student ID.
The Massey-SPCA Desexing Clinic offers cat neutering (males) for $15 and cat spaying (females) for $25. All cats desexed through the programme will also receive free microchipping.
All bookings must be made through the website: http://masseyspcadesexing.org/The Clinic opened in July 2017 and provides desexing and microchipping services to those who need a hand with the costs of desexing their cat, while also giving veterinary students more hands-on clinical experience.
The clinics are entirely run by Massey staff and students who volunteer in the weekends to provide these valuable services to the community. All procedures are performed in the surgical training facilities at the Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
