About our Boarding Facilities
-
Our Timaru Centre offers boarding accommodation for dogs, cats and other small pets throughout the year.
We also have a small retail area of dog and cat toys, bedding, chew bones, collars and leads for sale should you wish to treat your pet while you are away.
Our prices are very reasonable and with our convenient location (just off State Highway 1), we are regularly used by a lot of out-of-town visitors as well as being well supported by our local clients.
Bookings are essential and proof of vaccinations for your pets is a must! Christmas bookings incur a non-refundable deposit to be paid within two weeks of the booking being made.

Dogs
-
Our boarding kennels are large and roomy and cleaned daily. Dogs are individually housed or if you have more than one dog they can be comfortably housed together if you wish.
- Dogs are taken out of their kennel each day for a walk which they thoroughly enjoy.
- Owners can bring their dog's own personal bedding and toys to help make their pet's stay with us more comfortable.
- We provide their food, unless your dog is on a special diet, then you are welcome to bring their own food which we will feed to your dog.
- Medication can be administered if necessary whilst they are here.
- Dogs must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to coming into the kennels with Vangaurd Plus5 (or similar). Kennel Cough vaccine must also be current and have been given at least three days prior to coming into the kennels. Proof of vaccinations must be sighted at time of admission.
- Heated kennels are available from April to October at an extra cost per day.
-
Cats
-
Cats are individually housed and runs are cleaned daily. Cats have access to their own run all day and night.
- If you have more than one cat you can have a double run which has the partition up in between, or, if their stay is short and they like to be together they can be housed together in one run.
- Owners can bring their cats own personal bedding and toys to make their stay with us more comfortable.
- We provide their food, unless your cat is on a special diet, then you are welcome to bring their own food.
- Medication can be administered if necessary whilst they are here.
- Cats must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to coming in to the cattery with Felcocell 3 (or similar). Proof of vaccinations must be sighted at time of admission. Male cats must be neutered.
- For safety reasons cats must be transported to and from the Cattery in a suitable carrier cage.
- In winter their sleeping area is heated with Heat Pumps to make it warm and cosy.
-
Other animals
-
We can look after other small pets as well as cats and dogs.
- Most birds can be accommodated as long as they are in their own cage.
- Rabbits or guinea pigs are housed in hutches or you can bring your own hutch if you wish.
- Other small pets can be considered for boarding as well.
Just give us a call on 03 688 2234 to make enquiries.
