Hamilton Snip 'n' Chip
We are excited to announce our desexing campaign Snip ‘n’ Chip is back, this time in Hamilton!
From 23 September, we are working with Care Vets to offer heavily discounted desexing and microchipping in Hamilton for community card holders.
Cat-owners who have a Community Services card can Snip ‘n’ Chip their cats or kittens for just $20. This is a limited time offer that is available until bookings run out.
SPCA has worked hard in recent years to address the problem of too many cats being born unwanted and not living a good quality of life.
Our desexing campaign in Hamilton aims to reach out to those who cannot afford the desexing operation or may not normally consider having their cat desexed to use this opportunity.
It also provides the opportunity for cat owners who do not currently have a local vet to get to know one.
Cat owners have responded extremely well to our other campaigns across New Zealand.
Scientific research has proven that a desexed animal lives a happier and healthier life. They are less likely to get into fights, can be more affectionate and friendly and have a reduced risk of health problems such as cancer.
We believe desexing and microchipping is one of the key ways to improve animal welfare in New Zealand and would like to thank Combined Veterinary Services and Community Trust South in advance for their help with this campaign.
Bookings are limited, so cat owners should visit SPCA’s Hamilton Centre (49 Northway Street, Te Rapa) or Op Shop (47 Whatawhata Rd, Dinsdale) with their Community Services Card to purchase their Snip 'n' Chip voucher and avoid disappointment.
