SPCA Jump to the Rescue 2020
Are you ready to break free and tick an item off your lockdown bucketlist? Will you take the plunge and skydive for animals in need?
Join us for SPCA's Jump to the Rescue and take to the skies on 1 August for an opportunity that will not only change your life, but the lives of thousands of animals too!
With every dollar you raise during this experience of a lifetime, you will help animals in need experience love and care for the first time.
Participating in Jump to the Rescue is easy, all it takes is:
- Register now! Once your fundraising page is set up, make sure to share it and spread the word.
- Ask friends, family and your wider community to sponsor you. If you raise over $775, you will jump for free!
- Head to your chosen jump spot on Saturday, 1 August and enjoy the ride! You can choose between Bay of Islands, Auckland, Tauranga, Taupo and Christchurch.
Frequently asked questions:
Where can I jump?
You can choose to jump at one of five locations around New Zealand: Christchurch, Auckland, Bay of Islands, Taupo or Tauranga.
Can I jump at the same time as my friend/partner?
Yes! As long as they have registered too and reached the $775 target. Please get in touch and we can arrange this for you.
How old do I need to be to skydive?
There are no minimum age requirements for skydiving as long as you reach the height and weight requirements of the skydiving company and you have signed consent from a parent or guardian. Please get in touch with us at email@example.com so we can check this for you.
Are there weight limits?
Generally, the weight limit is 100kg. Some places may allow up to 110kg, however, this may incur an extra fee and is dependent on your height and fitness level. Please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss this with you.
Do I have to register?
Yes, please! This means we have all the necessary details for your jump, and ensures that you have an online fundraising page to collect donations for the animals.
Why is there a registration fee?
The registration fee helps cover the cost of holding the events so that more money goes towards helping the animals. We are so grateful to everyone for their support.
Can I just pay for the jump instead of fundraising?
Unfortunately not sorry. Jump to the Rescue is a fundraising activity to help the animals in need!
What happens if I don’t raise $775?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to jump with us, as this is a fundraising event. Just let us know if you need some help with fundraising, we’re here to help you with tips to reach your goal! You can also choose to make up the difference before the fundraising deadline. Everything you do raise will still go towards helping animals in need – every dollar makes a difference!
What happens if my skydive is cancelled?
Skydiving is a weather dependent activity, and as weather conditions can change very quickly, your jump will only be confirmed an hour before your booking time. If your jump is cancelled due to weather conditions this will be rescheduled at no extra cost to you.
What happens if I can’t make it on the day?
If your situation changes and you’re unable to participate you will receive a voucher valid for 12 months to do it another day.
With thanks to...
