Canine volunteer - Weekend shifts
We are looking for reliable people to help us care for our dogs during weekends. This role requires a good level of fitness and confidence in handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
You will be required to help with the cleaning of the dog kennels/yards and to walk the dogs once the cleaning is done. The work we ask our canine volunteers to do is quite strenuous and you must be willing to walk our dogs in all weathers, rain or shine.
Please note: Dog walking is performed after a morning shift only.
We need volunteers who can help with the following:
- A weekly, or fortnightly, or monthly commitment to volunteering on any available Saturday or Sunday
- Between the hours of 8.30am – 11pm or 3pm – 4.30pm
- Are able to commit for a period of at least six months and are at least 18 years old
You must be confident at handling dogs, hardworking and reliable. We need volunteers who are prepared to commit to the minimum requirement of 6 months and can understand written and spoken English.
