Rabbitry volunteer
Nelson Centre
We are taking expressions of interest for volunteers who are rabbit lovers!
Volunteers in this area are responsible for the feeding, cleaning and socialising of our rabbits and guinea pigs.
We need volunteers who are available:
- Monday morning
- Tuesday morning
- Wednesday morning
- Thursday morning
- Friday morning
- Saturday morning
- Sunday morning
- Morning shifts start at 8.30am
- There are some afternoon shifts available also
- Are 17 years and older
- Can commit to a minimum of six months volunteering for our organisation
Your duties will include:
- Feeding and cleaning pens
- Rabbit/small animal handling
- Observing/monitoring health and temperament
- Grooming
We are looking for committed and responsible applicants who are comfortable with rabbits or have experience caring for rabbits. We are also seeking people who enjoy working with rabbits and are happy to commit to doing all the tasks involved in their care as this role involves a fair amount of physical work.
