Community Engagement Volunteer – Events
Community Engagement Events volunteers assist at events designed to get people involved with the SPCA and teach about responsible animal guardianship.
Help us teach others
In this role you will help prepare for, deliver, manage safety, clean and support the Community Engagement team in the delivery of fun and educational events and programmes.
This role could have you working with children of all ages, corporate groups, seniors and a diverse range of people in our community. Hands-on training is provided from the Community Engagement Team.
In this position you will assist with the delivery of programmes while ensuring safety at events including birthday parties, animal events, school holiday programmes, educational visits to schools and community groups and involvement in other community based events.
For this role you must be reliable and ideally be outgoing offering great customer service and have experience with animals, children and speaking to groups.
- Minimum age: 16 years.
- Personal time commitment: at least once a fortnight for a minimum of 6 months.
- Training: you will be required to attend training sessions for your specific area, in addition to receiving training while on-the-job during your shift.
- Police check: required for this position every 2 years.
