I love animals!
With my donation, I will show love to animals who have never known human kindness.
Please show love to animals like Chloe and her siblings!
These four beautiful puppies were stuffed into a backpack - zipped up - and left on the side of the road. It was evening, bitterly cold, and raining. They were only two weeks old.
A kind stranger was out walking, and spied the backpack. As he drew closer, he got the fright of his life when it started moving!
An SPCA Ambulance immediately came and picked up the puppies. They were delivered straight to Helena, one of our specialist SPCA staff. She is an expert in fostering motherless puppies - having raised some abandoned puppies who were just a few hours old.
Helena’s heart broke when she saw the puppies. ‘They were shivering and scared,’ she said. ‘Their eyes had just opened.’
These little pups should have been fed every two hours. They were desperately hungry and cold. Helena was prepared – because supporters like you had provided her with everything she would need in one of these emergencies.
She gave them warm bottle milk, and put them in a nest of blankets with a hot water-bottle. She also used a special pheromone spray to help them calm down. With full tummies, and finally feeling warm after their dreadful ordeal - the tiny puppies settled down to sleep.
These puppies now have a bright future, full of hope. But none of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for supporters providing money to stock up on all the essential care that these puppies needed.
This winter, many more animals are being dumped in the rain, cold and even in middle of snow storms. At times, they are painfully sick or broken.
It is only with the kind and compassionate support of Kiwis like you that we are able to save these innocent animals.
Please, donate today to save innocent animals from the cold.
