Making a difference in Central Otago

Volunteer with us

Under Alert Level 1 our is open, however, enquiries about adoptions, fostering and volunteering are by appointment. We ask anyone who would like to come to a centre to contact us first and make an appointment. You can do so by calling our centre on the number provided below. If you are dropping off donations we would love to see you during our opening hours at any time.

Vetlife Alexandra have allocated a separate space and resource in their clinic for SPCA animals. Their excellent facilities allow for adequate quarantine, and they can provide urgent vet care for sick or injured animals.

The good news is that our community will still be able to adopt SPCA animals from our nearby centres and from Vetlife Alexandra.

For animal welfare concerns in the area, please contact 03 473 8252.

For adoptions, please contact 0275120294.

If you need urgent assistance for an injured animal currently in your possession, please call us on 0275120294 or take it to a local veterinarian.

Please also take a look at our animals for adoption at our Queenstown Centre.

For all adoption enquiries, please call us on 027 512 0294 or email - emily.kerr@spca.nz.
