Making a difference in AlexandraVolunteer with us
Our Alexandra Centre will be closed for adoptions from 24 March, and closed to the public from 25 March until further notice due to the Covid-19 nationwide lockdown.
SPCA's Alexandra Centre now works in partnership with Vetlife Alexandra.
Our centre will be closing the building on Blackman Road and working with Vetlife Alexandra, who will accept and treat incoming animals on behalf of SPCA. Animals will then travel to SPCA centres in Otago and Southland where they will be adopted.
Vetlife Alexandra have allocated a separate space and resource in their clinic for SPCA animals. Their excellent facilities allow for adequate quarantine, and they can provide urgent vet care for sick or injured animals.
The good news is that our community will still be able to adopt SPCA animals from our nearby centres and from Vetlife Alexandra.
