Pinch and Prong Collars
SPCA opposes the production, importation, sale, or use of pinch and prong collars due to the pain and distress they cause to animals.
Pinch and prong collars are collars with prongs positioned against the neck, or any other protrusion intended to cause pain or discomfort, especially when tightened. They are used as an aversive training tool that enforces punishment in an attempt to make a dog perform desired behaviours.
