Falconry
Animals in Entertainment, Sport, and Work
SCPA opposes the hunting of wild animals by humans with birds of prey.
SPCA advocates that using birds in falconry must only be done if the bird’s physical, health, or behavioural needs are met. Our organisation opposes keeping, training, flying, or displaying birds of prey in which suffering is caused to the animal or the birds’ physical, health or behavioural needs are not met.
SPCA supports the use of low-stress handling methods and use of force-free methods to train birds used in falconry.
