Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.
This is my beautiful girl Salem (Once known as Oreo) who was found stuffed inside an Oreo box as a kitten and left to fend for herself. When we first met Salem, we were only at SPCA to drop off blankets and toys for the animals there. We locked eyes on this beautiful black kitten who looked scared and helpless. When we first approached her she hissed and swiped at us after a few minutes with her, she started to warm up to us.
In that moment I knew in my heart that I needed her. A few hours later I was home, with my new baby who we re-named Salem, the witch cat. She is a happy, crazy and fun loving girl. She is the apple of my eye. This is her a year later. Thank you to SPCA and the members who helped my girl, because of you this beautiful girl lives a happy, free and fun loving home with her brother and me.
