Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.
Riggs journey at SPCA wasn't an easy one. It would take multiple surgeries and months in SPCA's care before he would be ready for a forever home. After a long road to recovery, Riggs is thriving and loving life in his new forever home!
Here is what Rigg's mum has to say:
"Riggs is pretty special and has gone through a wonderful process with the SPCA. You guys took him on board with his sister when their owner wasn’t able to, and then made sure his eye surgery was performed to a high level. His first foster family through the SPCA must have been amazing because he is a gentle, well behaved little fella who loves to cuddle. His second foster family gave him socialisation and beautiful care and snuggles, and they were incredible too. The result is that I have an awesome doggo who has found the perfect place to be and is so loved. He’s certainly the loudest snorer in the house, thinks his head can squeeze through any small opening (when it obviously can’t) and doesn’t mind a sneaky gingernut biscuit if he can steal one! He adores his new sister, Miley and follows her everywhere. They’re quite the pair, partners in crime and dog treats. He’s absolutely an SPCA success story!”
