Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.

Phoenix and Griffen
We adopted Phoenix and Griffen from the Masterton SPCA when they were 6 months old. As brother and sister they were (and still are) very closely bonded. Since coming into our home they have become more confident and no longer run and hide at every unexplained noise. They get on with our English Pointer dog (as you can see in the picture!) love cuddles, are loud purrers, run around playing at odd hours of the night, have discovered the benefits of a warm fire, are beginning to explore the garden which is full of adventures, and love sleeping on beds. They are especially cute when they cuddle together to sleep. They are well and truly settled. They have grown and become so much more confident since being adopted. We live on a rural property so they have lots of space to explore and have adventures in.
