Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.

Didymo
Didymo (or Didi) was a bit of a surprise for me, as I had been looking for an older cat to join me and my elderly cat, Davy, who is largely an indoor cat now.
But Tracey at the SPCA suggested I come meet a little deaf kitten. And of course I took her home. She was an even bigger surprise for Davy! It's been three weeks and Didi has been such a joy. Even Davy is warming up to her - she grumbles when she is being groomed and still doesn't want to play, but I catch them snuggled up and sleeping together more and more. Didymo is her little reverse shadow.
I've loved the fun of having a kitten and building her elaborate cardboard palaces and playing with toys. She loves stalking me in the toilet and down the stairs. Soon we'll try going for walks. I think she'll be a great adventure companion, she is not scared or discouraged by anything.
Thank you for the perfect addition to our family.
