Happy adoption stories
Many of our adopters, volunteers, donors and friends send us stories and photos of the animals who give them so much joy. We dedicate this space to all of you whose lives have been changed by animals.
Brodie arrived at SPCA in a bad way and with a severe injury to his leg. Our vet team made the difficult decision to amputate it as they knew Brodie could live a happy and healthy life as a three-legged cat. And they weren't wrong! Brodie is now living his happy ever after.
Here is what Brodie's new mum has to say:
"Brodie is now six months old and thriving! His amputated leg doesn't bother him at all, he charges around as if he has four legs and boy can he run! He beats me all the time! He is a smoochy, cuddly, gentle and loving boy who adores hugs, being carried around, fussed over, and snuggling with me in my chair with an electric throw and heated wheat bags. He has a great appetite and isn't at all fussy. If he drops any bits he hoovers them up as he has wonderful manners. Thank you for everything you did for Brodie, he is certainly a very special wee boy and we are very happy he came into our lives. I am sure we will have many, many wonderful years with him"
