Give to Fire's care
This little kitten is named Fire. She’s been on quite the journey and we need your help to get her on the mend!
A couple of weeks ago, Fire was rescued from a metal rubbish bin near the fire station in Clyde - hence her name! The fire department heard her meows coming from the bin and the crew jumped into action and had to prise it open with bolt cutters to get her out.
They called SPCA and wee Fire has been at the local vets ever since. She had quite a bad injury to her leg – most likely from when she found her way into the bin, or possibly before, but we’re not entirely sure. Sadly, despite every effort, the vet team haven’t been able to save her leg and due to a nasty infection setting in, they had to amputate it.
Fire is doing well given her ordeal, but her surgery and vet care has been expensive. With medication, orthopedic surgery, x-rays, pain relief and the ongoing treatment, she’ll need the cost is already at $1200.
We’re sharing her story today to ask if you could please donate towards her care? We’re so thankful the fire crew brought this little kitten to safety and we want to give her the best fighting change possible at a happy life with a new family. We're also hugely thankful to our partners at Vetlife for looking after Fire!
SPCA receives very little government funding so we need your help to fund vet treatment for injured and sick animals like Fire. Anything you can give will help tremendously. Please can you help us cover the costs?
